curriculum

In the face of increasing globalization, our curriculum is structured to nurture children who will be internationally relevant. The curriculum has been combined by our consultants to create an effective blend of the British and the Nigerian National Curriculum.

This prepares our students for IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) and WASC (West African School Certificate) Examination.

Keystage 3

subjects english, mathematics, integrated science, social studies citizenship, geography, crk, introduction to technology, french, agricultural science, business studies, iCT, music, art and Igbo.

keystage 4

subjects: english literature, english language, maths, biology, chemistry, physics, combined science, History, geography, iCT, technical drawing, business studies, french, art, music,.

Brookstone School is registered with the European Council of International Schools (ECIS) and the Council of International Schools (CIS). Thus Brookstone School is recognized globally as a School with international curriculum.

the school day

The school day starts by 8.00 am and ends by 4.15 pm. There is a break period of 50 minutes between 12.35 pm and 1.25 pm.

the school year

The school year runs from September to July.

discipline

The school takes the issue of discipline very seriously. Students are expected to observe all rules and regulations of the school. We wish to state here that the School reserves the right to expel students found guilty of gross misconduct. Parents are encouraged to cooperate with the School and share in the responsibility of moulding their wards' character.
